Concrete and Insulation Solutions for Claymont Properties
Claymont includes established neighborhoods, townhomes, apartment communities, commercial properties, and areas undergoing redevelopment. Because these buildings vary in age, construction, and accessibility, each project requires an evaluation based on the property’s actual condition.
FoamTech Construction lifts and stabilizes eligible sidewalks, steps, driveways, garage aprons, patios, and commercial entrances using high-density polyurethane foam. This process can often correct uneven concrete with less demolition, downtime, and disruption than full replacement.
We also provide spray foam insulation for attics, crawl spaces, rim joists, garages, additions, multifamily properties, and commercial buildings. Our recommendations consider moisture, ventilation, access, and existing construction to determine the right solution for each Claymont property.
Common Projects We Handle in Claymont

- Leveling sunken front steps and porch slabs
- Repairing driveway and garage-apron settlement

- Stabilizing patios and other settled concrete surfaces
- Air sealing and insulating older attics
- Insulating crawl spaces and basement rim joists

FAQs
Can concrete lifting be used in a townhome or apartment community?
It may be suitable for sidewalks, entrances, patios, and other concrete slabs that have settled but remain structurally sound. Access, underground utilities, slab condition, pedestrian traffic, and property-management requirements must be evaluated before work begins.
Can concrete lifting reduce disruption at a busy Claymont property?
In many cases, yes. Polyurethane concrete lifting uses small injection holes and usually requires less demolition and downtime than removing and replacing the slab. This can make it useful for eligible residential walkways, apartment entrances, and commercial pedestrian areas.
Is spray foam suitable for an older Claymont home?
It can be, but the property should be evaluated first. Existing ventilation, moisture conditions, wall and roof construction, mechanical equipment, and previous renovations affect where spray foam should be installed and which type of foam is appropriate.
Can FoamTech insulate townhomes or multifamily properties?
Yes, depending on the construction, access, project scope, fire and building-code requirements, and coordination with property management. Shared walls and occupied spaces may require additional planning compared with a detached home.
Are permits required for concrete lifting or spray foam insulation in Claymont?
Permit requirements depend on the exact scope of work. Claymont is an unincorporated community governed for land-use and building matters by New Castle County. Property owners should confirm applicable permit requirements for alterations, new construction, changes of use, or larger redevelopment projects before work begins.

I can’t speak highly enough of FoamTech Construction LLC. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my project despite coming across some challenges that were outside of their control. They didn’t give up when many other companies would have. They clearly take a lot of pride in their work and want to make sure that the customer is satisfied. They also communicated clearly and timely when there needed to be changes to the project. I was very impressed and would recommend them to anyone.

Very quick and did an excellent job. Jimmy was very knowledgeable about our problem and was great with communicating next steps. His crew did a great job of indicating how they were going to fix our steps and the end result was top quality work. Highly recommend.

We had called several places for estimates of having the insulation in our crawl space replaced with foam. Lots and lots of promises to give an estimate, ended up being no-shows. Luckily we called Foam Tech Construction, Jimmy stopped over, gave us a decent estimate and a date when they could begin! It was a win-win for us! Gave Jimmy a deposit and confirmed date to start and finish! We couldn’t be happier! Thank you again to Jimmy and his crew! Jodie and Ed Quinn
